Case Studies » App Case StudyChef for all Seasons (CFAS), a Temporary Chef Recruitment Agency based in Bristol asked us to build them a Recruitment Agency app which would enable them to stay in contact more easily with the chefs they have on their books.
Job vacancies come into the office from their clients on a regular basis throughout the day and CFAS need to get hold of chefs registered with them to ascertain availability and suitability for given vacancies. Using email wasn't working because the emails were not being picked up until much later by the chefs and calling them during the day is often not possible if they are working.
The app that we built for them has a push messaging function which allows CFAS to send out messages to their chefs free of charge, whenever they wish. The messages arrive on the home screen of the chef's phone and are a lot less intrusive than a phone call at awkward times.
The response rate to vacancies has soared and CFAS now send all of their vacancies out via the app and let their chefs know when a vacancy has been filled. In 6 months over 500 chefs have downloaded the app for free from Google Play or the Apple App Store. The results have been so good that CFAS have now opened up another branch in the South East of England to service the busy London and Home Counties region.
